Mercedes Benz SLK (1996-2004)

There are plenty of reasons to want a convertible in your classic collection and one from the Mercedes-Benz brand adds both glamour and style.

Slip behind the controls of this striking convertible on a hot summer’s day and lose yourself in the enjoyment of what open top motoring is all about.

Tidy and functional under the bonnet without requiring too much cleaning

This is the kind of project machine most people would want in their garage. The two litre engine is working well as is the automatic gearbox.

Interior

Cloth seats are in need of a clean but no stitching. Some of the red leather needs tlc and should spruce up again with a little effort. Both seats are comfortably firm.

Exterior

The paint is fairly good all round with just a few age related scuffs that may be polished out.

Strictly Two Seater

The electrically operated convertible hardtop uses the boot space for storage. It works well and is an eye catcher in operation.

MB SLK to be ready for Summer 2023

By project standards this is a pretty mild one. Most of the effort will focus on cleaning as the running gear appears to be working well.
