1999-2007 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 Automatic. S-Type production totalled 291,386. The number of S-TYPE V6 2.5 & 3.0 still motoring are: Licensed 1,087 / SORN 1,190. 1961-69 Austin A60. Powered by a 1.6 litre four cylinder engine producing 61 bhp. Top speed is 80 mph and 0-60 takes 19.8 secs. Economy was 25 mpg. Cost new was £833. An automatic version was available. Production totalled 276,534. Number still motoring on UK roads is Licensed 380 / SORN 154.1970-1981 Hillman Avenger. The 1,248 cc introduced with the first Avengers (1970–1973) was changed to the 1,295 cc between1973–1981, after Chrysler revamped the range. Also available were a 1,498 cc and later a 1,598 cc between 1973–1981. In 1973 the 1500 engine was tuned for a sports version of the Avenger called Tiger. This unit produced 92 bhp and together with improved suspension and braking offered a credible compact sports saloon. Performance tests revealed the car capable of 108 mph with a 0-60 in 8.9 secs. The number of Avenger Tigers still motoring on UK roads is: Licensed 19 / SORN 9. The total number of remaining Avengers in the UK is 515 divided between Licensed 244 SORN 339.2002-2005 Smart Roadster. This unusual two seat sports car is powered by a 698 cc engine producing 80 bhp mated to a six speed automated manual gearbox. A total of 43,091 were manufactured. A fast version of the Roadster was built called the Brabus with power increased to 100 bhp. In total the number of Smart Roadsters still motoring in the UK are: Licensed 1291 / SORN 819. The Brabus version of the Roadster numbers: Licensed 248 / SORN 156 still motoring on UK roads.1988-1997 Audi Coupe. Powered by a 5 cylinder 2309 cc petrol engine. Initially offered with 10 or 20 valve versions the most powerful produced 158 bhp. In 1990 Audi introduced the S2 Quattro version to improve lagging sales. This came with a large power increase of 227 bhp together with a new 6 speed gearbox. Performance dramatically improved over previous versions providing a 153 mph top speed and 0-60 in 5.5 secs. The number of Audi S2s still motoring on UK roads is: Licensed 90 / SORN 272.VW Passat W8 4 Motion. A 4.0 litre V8 living under the bonnet of a B5 VW Passat is as exciting as it sounds and with four wheel drive the mind boggles over this car’s capabilities. The engine produces 271 bhp and propels the Passat to a top speed of 155 mph with a 0-60 in 6.3 secs. The number of W8s from this era remaining on UK roads is: Licensed 18 / SORN 25.
