The Alfa Romeo introduced in 1995 was a replacement for the 33 compact saloons. Engines offered included Petrol: 1.4, 1.6, and 1.7 Boxer Flat-4 units phased out in 1997 and replaced with 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 2.0 Twin-Spark units. Two types of diesel were also included a 1.9 turbo-diesel and a 1.9 JTD version turbo-diesel upping power from 90 to 105 bhp. The fastest version the 2.0 ti petrol with 155 bhp provides a top speed of 134 mph and 0-60 in 8.4 secs.
