The weather was on the Mayor’s side which it had not been the previous year. There were a considerable number of spectators and several hundred involved in the parade itself. As usual Wallace park where it ended is a very well presented park with large spaces for stalls and machines found in an amusement park. About forty classic cars participated in the event and were well received by spectators who seemed to enjoy looking around them. Keeping the youngest visitors at an arms distance was often more difficult as the prospect of climbing in open cars was clearly attractive.
